This week we are delighted to feature Carol Frost, an alum from our 2013 Poetry and BBQ Human/Nature. She read alongside fellow Featured Poets Campbell McGrath and Rick Campbell. Carol enjoyed her time in Vero Beach and has offered to come back any time Sean Sexton asks her! How lucky are we?
A Florida resident and professor at Rollins College, Carol explores the tenuous fragility of our own Florida ecosystem in this poem. If you close your eyes you’ll see the birds and crabs, smell the salty brine, wonder at the kaleidoscope of colorful light, and traipse through the sounds of perfectly placed alliterations in her poem “City by the Sea.” Enjoy!
