Marie Stiefel, President of the Board of our Foundation, has been selected as a Philanthropy Leader by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Indian River.

Marie has been inspirational and tireless in her advocacy for our Foundation. Without her, the fate of Laura’s Historic Home would have been uncertain. She courageously led the initiative to move the home 12 miles to the IRSC campus. In addition to that effort, Marie has offered her time, energy, and financial support for years to ensure that the important work that the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation does to awaken the literary minds of our community residents continues. We are so honored to work with Marie, and we are thrilled that she has been recognized by the Association for Fundraising Professionals at their annual recognition day. We will be there to cheer for her.

On November 17, Marie will be honored as a leader of philanthropy in our community on National Philanthropy Day. Join us as we celebrate our fearless leader who has done so much to put LRJF on the map and make things happen. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here. The event begins at 5:30 at Riverside Park and is a “Drive-In Celebration” that includes a light dinner and a non-alcoholic beverage. We are thrilled that our Board President has been acknowledged for all of her hard work and vision for LRJF. Cheers to Marie!
